Version 8

Version 8 was arguably the most complete design of them all. It even predates the versioning naming convention. This design was ultimately produced in aluminum and tested.

It was successful.

The concept of using ribbon cables with connectors however turned out to be a fatal flaw, as SPI communication across such distances and over so many connection points proved to be bitterly unreliable.
